About Kromiius

NWOCR & Heavy Metal — Witney, Oxfordshire

The five members of Kromiius standing together against a concrete wall

Our Story

Kromiius is a band that displays our love of classic metal in every song. With influences ranging from Dio, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, we show our appreciation of these legendary bands in the best way we can by incorporating key elements like two part harmony guitars and classically rooted melodic grooves.

We have our own unique voice that emerges in every song, in amongst the influences. So what are we, NWOCR? Maybe. Hard hitting metal, definitely!

The Lineup

Dan, vocalist of Kromiius

Dan

Vocals

Vocalist Dan Abrams is an experienced rock and metal frontman whose projects span everything from classic rock to traditional and modern heavy metal. Dan brings a powerful, melodic vocal style built around classic metal influences, commanding hooks and a natural flair for storytelling.

A seasoned live performer, Dan draws inspiration from the great rock and metal voices of the '70s and '80s while bringing his own character and theatrical energy to the stage. With Kromiius, that experience is channelled into a heavier, darker and more contemporary sound — balancing melody, aggression and old-school metal attitude.

Bob, rhythm guitarist of Kromiius

Bob

Rhythm Guitar

A very experienced songwriter, bass player and guitarist, Bob Stratton very often is the source of song ideas and grooves that end up as part of the Kromiius catalog. With influences like Dio, Black Sabbath, Saxon and Iron Maiden, his musical sensibilities lie firmly in classic British metal. More recent output is more modern, heavy groove based songs with strong melodic phrases.

Rob, drummer of Kromiius

Rob

Drums

A self-taught drummer who picked up the sticks at 16, Rob Slade's early career ran two bands simultaneously — thrash outfit Mephitis and glam rockers Thai Dyed Suicide, including a standout show at Wolverhampton's Wulfrun Hall just a week after Nirvana played the same stage. After a lengthy hiatus, he returned to the kit in 2016 a different player, shifting his focus from raw power to technique, precision and feel.

Since then Rob has become a well-respected figure on the Gloucestershire scene, joining Kromiius founding members Bob and Foxy in 2023. He's also played HRH Great Yarmouth and HRH Ibiza as a dep drummer, and brings groove, technical skill and complete reliability to every project he's part of.

Ant, bassist of Kromiius

Ant

Bass

A lifelong multi-instrumentalist with a wide eclectic taste in music, Antony “Ant” Moss was eventually lured away from his usual role as lead guitarist in rock and metal bands, by funkier more groove-orientated genres which attracted him to the power and fun to be found playing bass.

Heavy Metal remains Ant's biggest passion, particularly old-school Thrash & NWOBHM, whilst some less metallic influences have manifested to inform his basslines and approach to keeping rhythm interesting and catchy.

Foxy, lead guitarist of Kromiius

Foxy

Lead Guitar

Paul “Foxy” Fox brings melodic lead work and driving rhythm to the heart of the Kromiius sound. His playing draws on a wide spread of rock and metal influences — the emotional, blues-rooted phrasing of Gary Moore, the layered melodic hooks and twin-guitar harmonies of Boston, the heavy modern drive of Foo Fighters, and the razor-sharp twin-engine attack of Judas Priest.

Within the band's five-piece sound, Foxy is just as comfortable locking down a hard-hitting groove as he is stepping forward for a soaring solo. That push and pull between rhythm and melody is what he sees as the heart of real rock and roll.
