The StoryLong bio
Kromiius is a band that wears its love of classic metal on its sleeve. Formed in Witney, Oxfordshire, around founding members Bob Stratton (guitar) and Paul “Foxy” Fox (guitar), the band take their cue from Dio, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, building songs on big riffs and melodic hooks while letting their own voice come through in every track.
“So what are we, NWOCR? Maybe. Hard hitting metal, definitely!”
Bob is often the source of the riffs and song ideas that end up in the Kromiius catalogue, and he and Foxy share lead duties, trading the twin-guitar harmonies at the heart of the sound. Drummer Rob Slade joined in 2023, bringing power, technique and reliability honed on the Gloucestershire scene. Bassist Antony “Ant” Moss, a lifelong multi-instrumentalist and old-school thrash and NWOBHM devotee, and vocalist Dan Abrams, an experienced rock and metal frontman with a powerful, melodic style and theatrical stage presence, complete the five-piece line-up. Dan joined as frontman and lead vocalist in February 2026.
The band released their first two singles in May 2025: “November” (7 May) and “Eyes Wide Open” (10 May). Since then they have built a steady live record across Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Buckinghamshire, Leicestershire, South Wales and London, from opening Quarantune Rocks! in Coalville to their home stage at Studio Se7en in Witney, where they supported Verra Cruz on 30 May 2026.
In October 2026 Kromiius took their NWOCR to London, supporting Night-I-Wish at the Cart & Horses in Stratford, the pub known as the birthplace of Iron Maiden, on 23 October and at The Space, Isle of Dogs, the following night. The same day, they released new single “Seventeen Hours”, recorded at Studio Se7en.
